Recorded in summer 2003 in Hamden, CT.

NEIL: I remember coming back to the region summer after my first year of college and wanting to rock as hard as possible. I had written a bunch of stuff in my dorm room on an acoustic guitar and was excited to practice and eventually record a new record.

E is certainly a step above NGNFNP in all aspects: songwriting, production, vocals, etc. It's not as in your face or aggressive, but I think it's better. My one regret about this collection is that I think I was too narrow in my approach with the band and didn't let Matt or Jim expand on my original ideas. It was like "This is what I wrote. Play this, play that, no not like that, like this." I'm proud of the record but I think it might be solely my vision that ended up on tape.

With E, we also wanted to find a new and cheaper studio to record. Matt found this guy Paul somehow and he was perfect. Owned his own space above a ghetto shopping center that he transformed into a studio with a control room and booths. Paul was a hilarious guy that really meshed well with us. A lot of our growth can be attributed to him.
