NEIL: Emerson College is a great school academically, but after one semester I was sick of all the pompous, blow-hard, fake, self-righteous, rich parent hipsters that in inhabited the school.

A funny argument broke out when we were mixing the back-up vocals in the second verse. Matt, Paul and I were fucking around with the pitch shifter while Jim was out of the room and we wanted to put the "fuck you" in like a Mickey Mouse voice. When Jim came back and heard it in the track he was pissed, but Matt and I thought it was funny and kind of fit the song's tone. Jim tried to reason with Paul as a third party arbitrator, but Paul's opinion: "I kinda dig it." A very funny moment, but ultimately we compromised on the effect.
